Hi I’ve tried searching but it’s not bringing any thing up

I’ve just insured my M40i with bmw car Insurance £450 great price
But I’ve just added wheel spacers and front splitter now they wont cover them leaving me no choice to move company or remove them
Cheapest I’m getting now and some are even refusing cover is £950

Just going thru there T and C,s no cover for driving other cars no ncb cover

Who are you guys using for mods I’ve done so many online and over the phone
Quotes now I’ve lost track of who I’ve contacted

May have to admit defeat on this and sell parts

You have to inform the insurance company of any modifications yo make or your insurance is not valid and therefore you are driving illegally. It's pretty obvious to an insurance assessor that you have bolted/stuck a front splitter on a car and it might be a bit suspicious if at the scene of an accident you are trying to rip it off the front of your car.

Adrian Flux is the only one I know of that are happy with mods. The insurance on these things is so expensive as standard so I wouldn't want to make it worse. Still makes me laugh that the insurance on my M40i is more than my S3 which was one of the most attractive cars to thieves and criminals.

Oh forgot about that bit;

'T and C's' - Terms and conditions

'no cover for driving other cars' - no third party cover enabling you to drive someone else's car with their permission

'no ncb cover' - No Claims Discount protection. In the UK you can pay extra to protect the 'no claims discount' you receive for being a good driver.

In the uk we are suppose to declare all mods , not doing so can void insurance
So I asked the question

The price I’ve got so far doesn’t include cover for me to drive other cars and they charge extra for no claims bonus protection which also not included
