Resurrecting this old reply, but I came across it via Google. I happen to have ordered the same wheels (different tires) you have here for the X3 M40i that I just purchased. I had the wheels + tires shipped to the dealership for them to install before taking it home, since the vehicle was sitting on summers. I requested that they replace the center caps in the new wheels with the BMW caps and they told me today that they didn't fit. Did you get separate center caps, or are you using the caps from your stock rims?

Yes, ordered some on amazon.

Yes. Here are some photos, with the original measured. The original is like 55-56 and the other is 68mm I believe.

68mm is for the previous generations of cars - E series and F series cars.
G series wheels (5x112 not 5x120) use the smaller roundels 56mm.

Sure--but per sor's post, it appears that the 56mm center caps are clearly too small for these particular wheels. That also corroborates what the dealership told me.

If the caps don't fit it means the hub bore on those wheels is too large. You will need hubcentric rings to use the larger 73mm bore wheels.

The bore doesn't always match the cap size though, there's not necessarily a hard correlation. The stock G01 roundel caps are much smaller than even the bore of the stock wheel.

Agreed with sor

My aftermarket winter set from tire rack has a perfect bore size for the g01 /g02 but it still takes the old caps.

Sorry, missed the fact these are aftermarket wheels!
I'll get back in my box

Anyone put these on for their winter set up... not a match normally... but for basic highway and around town winter driving...can’t see a problem.

My attention was drawn to them as they are included as an option for an M40i package I found....the tires are the Michelin Latitude X-Ice2...235/55//19 101 H SL

Comment appreciated...

Have that exact size package but in a Continental Viking Contact7, which was my pick over the excellent Michelin's you have referred to. On my 2020 X3 M4.0 for two months and 1200 miles on them in the worst conditions in Chicago, and they are an incredible set up. Dry, slightly squishy but fine and once the snow and ice hit, like driving on rails.

Just bought the X3 and a winter package from an online retailer (PMC Tire for those in Canada). 20” ART wheels with Continental Viking Contact 7 tires. Hubcentric. The wheel/tire weighs less than the OEM 21” summer set up.

Wheels are ART Replica 129 in an 20x9 ET35 set up. Tires are 245/45-20 square. Decent look for a relative inexpensive set up... it was $1,000 less than what the dealer wanted for a 19" wheel/tire combo with performance winters (i.e. not as good in snow/ice).

Very happy.

I'm also happy with my VC7's. Jury is still out on longevity.

I put together a 19” square setup.... on RTX clearance rims (Scimitar), and Continental Wintercontact SI 235/55/19 105H XL....with Schrader TPMS... for $1650 CAD...installed.

1200 cheaper than an after market set the dealer had on hand...

They’ll do....

just wondering which rims size you got?
im shopping for winters package and thinking on going 19" rim and either 235/55/19 or 255/50/19 as they seems to be a good price compared to other sizes. thx
