Weird software glitch...

A few weeks ago I was fueling my wife's X3 and upon restart there was a weird glitch and the dash dials were all shifted halfway over. I restarted the car to reboot the system and everything has worked just fine since. I don't really have a question but thought it was kind of interesting. I plan to mention when the car eventually goes in for service but don't expect there is much to be done....

The same thing happened to me a few days ago. I restarted in a hour or so and everything is back to normal. It has not occurred since.

Here you go. Search function sucks on this forum. I searched for it for awhile too. I was only able to find it because I posted on it.

Gauge display/cluster is wonky

Im not here to be on topic. Or maybe now I am. But the search function is by far the worst on this forum out of any other forums.

Yes agreed - I search the site via google (you can find more results from X3.bimmers.com). It works much better.

I just bought a 2019 X3 last week and this morning my Instrument panel/cluster was shaking and off to the side.

Looks like a glitch in the holomatrix. Just use voice command "arch", then instruct the computer to recalibrate the holoemitters and restart the program from the current position.

So my wifes 2021 X3 just had the cluster go black. I disconnected the battery and reconnected. Fixed our issue. BUT... noticed the battery was at 12.4v versus 12.8-12.9 for charged?

Definitely bring to dealer. There is an SIB regarding idrive 7 instrument clusters going blank. Usually only lasts a drive cycle and comes back. Software update is the fix if I remember correctly
