Well although the link works, my VIN doesn’t do anything.
And it should be on a ship now.... https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...&postcount=260 |

Tried the VIN on the track and trace - no success. I guess either it's still in the USA, being shipped with a different carrier, of the VIN isn't the right reference to use...

According to that link
‘ Due to security concerns we have decided to remove the cargo id search functionality from our Track & Trace web page.’ So I guess it’s been pulled.... |

Copy this full link into your browser, add the full VIN at the end behind the 3D without space

Well I'm not going to explain how I did this... because it involved some code editing(!)... But I managed to search by CargoID using the VIN - but my VIN isn't there (others are so I know it works!). So I guess my vehicle must be being shipped by one of the other carriers!

Aah, well I’ve had another go and it’s a ‘no records found’ page??
I’ve even tried to go via the US BMW Genius as they seem to have access to much more info but they weren’t having any of it either. Yep, patience isn’t a strong point of mine |

Well if it’s not on one of the Feb 16th sailings then it must be on the 3rd March (which arrives Southampton on the 22nd March) which is 5 days after they’re telling me it’ll be ready
Hey ho, it is what it is I guess! |

Could be with a different carrier... I’d kind of hope mine is on a ship if it’s due for delivery in 4 weeks from now. And rolled out of the factory almost 5 weeks ago... Who knows!!

Quick update - perhaps the VIN doesn't always show up when tracking the Cargo ID... My vehicle changed to 9610 - Port of Exit today with estimated delivery now w/c 2nd March (was 21st March). Having done some digging online, it seems that this means the car is now at Bremerhaven (there is no way that means Charleston with a delivery date in 2 weeks time) so I guess it could well have been on the ARC Integrity after all... (Maybe lol!!)
Wow400 - might be worth checking yours too just in case |

Hope it comes back a little for you - the dates they give do tend to be pessimistic. At least this proves that tracking by VIN doesn’t work for UK delivered vehicles... Perhaps yours is on the Torino (currently holding outside of Bremerhaven waiting for a berth)

Ooooh it's "At Sea!"
9000 - Departed Plant - 27/01/2020 9610 - EU Port of Exit - 21/02/2020 9620 - At Sea - 26/02/2020 (estimated delivery to dealer w/c 9th March) God knows what boat it's on though - think I've given up on trying to find out! |

Code 9000 31st Jan Still at code 9000 and I called the dealer to ask which ship or which sailing date but he couldn’t supply any of that info! Keep us updated |

Well it was on the Tonsberg which docked in Southampton today I’d guess as the status changed mere hours after it docked! The Tonsberg didn’t call at Charleston in the US (according to one of the ship tracker sites) - only Savannah. So either my car came from there on that boat all the way, or was on something else and offloaded. Who knows which boat though!!
Anyway it’s now: 9000 - Departed Plant - 27/01/2020 9610 - EU Port of Exit - 21/02/2020 9620 - At Sea - 26/02/2020 9630 - Port of Entry - 27/02/2020 (estimated delivery to dealer 6th March) Exciting!! |
