I wonder if the setting can also calibrate the speedometer. Skoda has had that for years.

I'll have to go back and look but it seemed there was some setting in there to adjust the speed limiter in case you didn't have W or Y rated speed tires installed. Not sure if that's a soft (warning) or hard limit.

Looks like my OEM 20" winter set with 699M rims and Pirelli Scorpions got shipped from getBMWparts.

I didn't expect anything till some time in January.

Yeah a little expensive. They do have a 5% discount code BEMERRY right now.

Considering we use winter tires 5-6 months of the year maybe it's not that bad.

Yeah, I've been talking to Evan there. But since I don't have my X3 yet, he recommend I wait despite the 5% off in case the car doesn't arrive/falls off the truck and I end up not needing a winter setup this season. 10% restocking fee if I had to return. Let's see the pics once installed

Anyone have any comments on going with 4 NEW Nokian Hakkapeliitta 7 SUV (Non-Studded) 235/50R19XL 103T BSW tires on the stock 19" rim.

Discount Tire calls this "Best" type of tire. I only have previous experience withe Blizzak WS 80s and Blizzak DM-V2.

I could also stick to 245/50/19 tires from BMW, but it starts to get pricey.

Mine arrived at my dealer, and I was going to p/u, but my awesome SA went a step further and is allowing me to use a 15% BMW Accessory coupon on top of the great pricing I already achieved!!! However, in order to use the coupon, they have to "install" them with a work order. I was going swap out myself after delivery, but no problem for an extra 15% off!!! I'm glad I decided on these!

Wow that is really nice of them.
Canadian pricing is so out to lunch on these that even with my 15% off this set would have costed $5060CAD (~$4000USD) + taxes.

Another thing my parts guy said that they would also need to re-balance them (for a price).
I'm not sure that's strictly needed as they do come with wheel weights so hopefully they are balanced by BMW

That makes no sense! Like you said, they come already to bolt on. That would be like buying a wheel/tire package from Tire Rack or elsewhere, but still needing to take them somewhere to get re-balanced.
