Tinting 2022 Headlights

Has anyone tinted their headlights? Since Shadowline is not available to give the headlights the "smoked" appearance looks like tinting is the only option right now.

Just say no! Don't tint your headlights and cut their light output. It won't look like shadowline, it will just look like somebody stuck tint on their brand new X3's headlights. Please don't join the legions of roached G35's and Civic's that do this!

I don't think they're tinted. The inside of the housing is just black instead of silver.

But Alex, they dont. The "smoke" is behind the lights and doesn't impact light output.

Aw that would make sense if its behind the light. If thats the case, then maybe I can use that against BMW to get them to swap the lights out as they never informed me of it being removed from the build. Was only told once it starting production and im locked into buying it now.

BMW isn't going to swap them. How are you locked in? If you haven't signed the lease/finance agreement your not locked in. If your not happy about the situation walk away.

Yeah, dealer will absolutely refund your deposit if the delivered car isn't the same spec as your order.

Also the headlight assemblies are probably thousands of dollars each. Doubt dealer will eat that cost.
