This is a dumb question. Does my 22 M40i have AWD? On my Macan, it showed me what percent was going to front and back wheels. I never thought to ask the question! Dumb.

Yes the M40i by default has xDrive which is the AWD system of BMW. You can see the driving dynamics on your infotainment screen
You can navigate to CAR—> Driving Information —> xView and it will show you the details. |

I’ve had a funny one in the last few drives. I used the voice assistance to plan a route and normally it’s super fast but took ages so I cancelled it. But now it randomly starts up without me pressing the button mid playing music.
I’ve not changed anything, anyone had anything similar? |

BMW Safety Camera Information
I recently purchased the the BMW Safety Camera Information digital download for the connected drive.
Does it automatically show up because , theres nothing different to my display at all. No cameras show up on the map or warnings that I am approaching one. Any ideas? |

There is nothing to see until you're close to a camera, then it will give you a notification.
Be aware, it isn't perfect. I don't know how often the database is updated, but it completed missed a speed camera the other day. I knew about it, so I was already slowing down, but it's less than a year old, and clearly missing from their database. |

Let's see how this fits in "too stupid go ask"
I recently bought a used 2019 X3 M40i. Carfax said it had the brake fluid flushed at 31k in August of 2021 at the BMW dealer. It's now 5 months and 2k miles later. I was pushing it the other day and felt like the brakes didn't feel as good as they should. Checked the fluid with the voltmeter test, got 0.25 volts (0.3 is the limit). Opened up the right rear bleeder and started sucking out cloudy fluid. Like 30k cloudy fluid, not 2k cloudy fluid. Is it possible a dealer "said" they did a brake fluid flush but actually didn't? Its more that it keeps popping up as if I've pressed the button but it hasn't. Quite annoying its like its still listening but this is over multiple journeys. |

I've personally never seen cloudy brake fluid, only dark. I once changed brake fluid that was nearly 10 years old with tens of thousands of miles and it was very dark but not cloudy. It should stay translucent even if it's old, so I'm not sure what would make it opaque. It would have to be severely contaminated for you to notice a difference under regular circumstances. Usually you have to be driving a car pretty hard (boil the fluid) or have it be really bad before the pedal will start to feel off. Even brake fluid from a new vehicle with 30k miles on it should look nearly new and not feel different. Did the fluid look cloudy in the line, or was it in a container after you drained it? I've seen like-new fluid do some strange things only after draining it into a container that had a little water or other fluid in it. Seen it change to weird colors or form precipitate but only after taking it out of the lines. |

I didn’t find this elsewhere, I’ve seen images of the key fob with a screen on it…was that an option and if not, where do people get them?

Took it out this morning for a quick test - way better. Didn't get any fluid boiling after many repeated 90-30 stops. Bravo!

I got one with mine and have never used it. it's big, has shit functionality and is just plain flamed in most circles. I hope to God my new one (if it ever comes - slated for f**king August now) has two 'normal' keys. |

I figured out how to get the heated seats to turn on with remote start, but they turn on at the lowest level (1 light). Anyone know how to get them to turn on at a higher setting with remote start?

FYI - You can go into settings and choose where you want the warning to display, either in the HUD (if you have HUD) or the Instrument Cluster.
