Towing

Anybody tow a trailer with electric brakes using the BMW trailer hitch.
It's not clear to me whether the electric trailer connections just work the trailer lights or they work the lights and electric brakes.
I want to tow a Trailex trailer equipped with an electric braking system.
My dealer doesn't know...

No. The wiring harness let's say from stealth hitch is only for the lights. The car can only tow 5,500 lbs gross and max tongue weight of 350 lbs. I wouldn't recommend towing something that requires air/electric breaks anyway. (F97 platform)
