Trunk not closing opening all the way anymore

Push the trunk button, trunk opens about 1/3. Can continue opening manually. Same thing closing - about 1/3 the way down and it stops

Have not had a chance to pull codes (or see if there are any) and reading the TIS is basically telling me to R&R control module, then each automatic strut independently. Hall switches are internal to the struts.

Anyone have some tricks/tips?

Did you try adjust opening height in Idrive system first?

Error code 801715 - Left hall switch. Of all places - Turner motorsport, had it the cheapest ($235ish). 2-3 days...
