Wondering if we can add custom colors like the G05 X5 and this forum.

We don't seem to have the same color library in our body domain controller.

It's funny, every time this post pops back up top I run out and try this again. It never works, and it's the one thing that doesn't "stick" for some reason. I even went back and looked at my backups (I've had 6 since I got the car...I guess I change my mind, hehe) and even the backup listed my colors as Red and Cyan Blue, but the colors always stay as the factory double blue/blue.

What's weird today, though, was that when I loaded the backup, the dimming gauge/ac issue returned. Now my center de-coupled display is super bright and I can't see my gauges or a/c. I guess when I get home I'll dig in to Bimmercode again and try and remember where the "Old" command variant for the dimmer was, and give the colors another try. Super cool look, I wish I could get it to work!

(((EDIT - Just popped back in to the car and had this post on my mind, so before I headed off I realized I mentioned the default blue/blue in the post. I never purposefully went back and switched to BRONZE! Arrgh!! It was there the whole time. To be clear - The new combo you pick rewrites Bronze. So switch to that and it's good to go. I can't believe I did that to myself. Now to that dimmer..."))))

Would love to have a go at this but don't have the know how to do it as Ive never done coding on a car before and would be worried about knackering the car
It's safe.

I use BimmerCode on my iPhone with a lightning to Ethernet adapter and then plug an Enet cable into that and the OBD port to code.

BimmerCode has a novice version and backups are done automatically.

Honestly anyone could do it.
Does it void warranty
