Ambient M Colours! Cyan and Red

Finally got an Enet cable and a lighting to Ethernet adapter meaning I can use the full options in BimmerCode.

Changed the default bronze ambient lighting to red contour and cyan below. Looks epic!!!

I did the same thing myself last night! Though I didn’t take any pics.

I did the red ambient and cyan-blue contour though, ie opposite. Did you try that one and preferred the way you did it?

That looks absolutely incredible, am I right in thinking you used any Enet cable and any lighting to ethernet adapter to connect to the iphone? or does it have to be specific?

I wanted to do this using one tool but the Unicarscans and OBDLinks are out of stock...

I like the way the red goes with the orange dash and cyan below. Might try it the other way round but love this currently.

I used to use BimmerCode and a VGate wifi adapter but on the X3M the BimmerCode options are limited with the VGate.

Changed to an Enet adapter (blue one from amazon) with an Ethernet to Lightning (random from eBay)to plug into my phone for the BimmerCode app.

Also 100x faster updating too as it was damn slow via WiFi.

Great, thanks MOFF, will order the same and try it out. I'm wondering if I should hold off until my RIS on Feb 1st though mind you.

Besides speed, I just don't trust a wireless connection when loading new code. Wouldn't want it to drop a connection and screw something up.

They might s/ware update for the RIS, but it's a 5 min job so don't worry.

I coded this and it does look good. One thing of note for my X3M is that if you have night time dimming box checked the red becomes really faint at night compared to the standard colors. With it unchecked it looks great just like the picture posted above.

Would love to have a go at this but don't have the know how to do it as Ive never done coding on a car before and would be worried about knackering the car

It's safe.

I use BimmerCode on my iPhone with a lightning to Ethernet adapter and then plug an Enet cable into that and the OBD port to code.

BimmerCode has a novice version and backups are done automatically.

Honestly anyone could do it.

One thing of note for my X3M is that if you have night time dimming box checked the red becomes really faint at night compared to the standard colors. With it unchecked it looks great just like the picture posted above.
