I wanted the one from IND forever but couldn't spend $1700 especially on something that takes a lot of wear and tear from the road and at any minute might have some bad luck with a concrete parking stop. But yes I still want the IND one. So I took a chance on this for $80 and it is what it is. It does fit perfectly and is easy to install with a drill and if you don't like it you'll never see the holes you made anyway. It does follow the upward curve of our bumper which I never realized curved that much until you do something like this. So that would be my only negative. But hey let me know what you think!

The Mperformance sticker and roundels are genuine BMW and the painted sidemarker is Ind obviously.

When I took the picture head on all you see is the bottom of the spoiler and the silver screws used to install it. It looked so bad head on I never posted the picture. I HATED IT and was lying to myself all along. Instead I took it off and mailed it back. $155 later I am much happier with this one! By the way its my wifes car and I dont drive it except clean it, maintain it and mod it!

I just hope you didn’t use self tapping screws and used real bolts/washers/nuts.

Self tappers… well, be ready for one random day on the highway when it rips off. Unless you only drive under like 60mph then maybe you won’t have issues.

But it looks pretty good for the price!

The front lip looks pretty good and you handled the install great. I’m not of fan of the sides being turned up that way but to each their own. That plate location throws off the whole look IMO. It would honestly be better in the factory location.

The BMW dealer we got doesn't put license plates on their car because they consider it damaging the bumper and making holes in it. They actually recommended this company for the tow hook plate locator. This way it is removable with no damage to the bumper. Most M car drivers use these kits instead of drilling into the front of their bumper. And then if your car ever goes to a state that doesn't require a front bumper it is easily removable. Either way I still HATE having any front plate.

I know the reasoning as I don’t have a plate either. I’ve heard Virginia is a tough state for no front plate that they even ticket when you’re parked. That said, the g01 plate holder goes into the black bumper trim piece and can easily be replaced for relatively cheap. Your tow hook mount works and lots use them, I believe centered looks best than a crooked tow hook mount off set. That’s all.
