Took delivery today. The bolster adjustment on driver side is gone! (I had an '18, it had it) My build said the passenger width adjust was deleted, not the driver. Did the button move somewhere else??

If you have ventilated seats you lose side bolster adjustment I believe.

Which seats are you guys talking about? If ventilated seats, there’s no adjustable bolsters.

If sports seats, thats a new problem.

If M Sports seats, they have to come with adjustable bolsters as standard… 🤔🤔🤔

Did you spec Cognac leather? Adjustable side bolstering doesn't come on that color for whatever reason.

This has been removed from ventilated seats, and sensatac seats sport seats. Vernasca sport seats still retains bolster width adjustment on driver's seat

Apparently you only get adjustable side bolstering on 3/4ths of the colors of non-ventilated Vernasca. Everything else deletes it. This doesn't show up in the configurator but it's in the pricing guide so a CA (in-theory) could/should/would have told you about it when building the car, but clearly YMMV. It's totally arbitrary and convoluted. So ridiculous.

That's just nuts. I would have considered another color if I knew. I had them on my '18 and used them all the time to change the amount of support I wanted for my driving "mood".

ThunderBludgeon is correct. After an enormous amount of back and forth on an earlier thread the group concluded that just Cognac Leather on the M40i wasn’t getting the adjustable side bolsters on the standard sport seats. No logical explanation was determined.

I’ve had adjustable side bolsters on a previous X3 and didn’t really find them to be a big deal. In my opinion, if your cornering so hard in an X3 that you feel yourself sliding around in the seat your driving too fast. You’ll eventually crash your X3 and the side bolsters won’t do you much good than

My question is, why do we have to rely on these groups to tell us what BMW has decided to do? It sure wasn't clear to me when I built the car. I find them useful from a comfort standpoint.

You were told it would be deleted on the drivers side? I was only told passenger side. From this group I have found out only cognac vernasca leather is effected with this deletion. Just plain odd.

I knew about the passenger side, but not the driver side when I ordered mine or I would've chose a different color leather. Makes no sense why it only affected the cognac.

Exactly. I was on the fence between cognac and black. That would have been enough to push me over I think. Oh well.
