15mm Spacers Installed :)

Thanks to my brother, who literally did the whole install for me, I finally am completely satisfied with the look of my X3!!! No more "narrow front views" that always bothered me juuuuust that little bit and made the car look smaller. The spacers totally complete and transformed the look of the car. I did 15mm square all around.

Perfect! More Macho!!!! I took as many pics as I could to properly show the effect of the wider stance and how it looks at the fenders.

Thanks to RG Sport for the spacers!!!

Yes the 15mm on all 4 corners really helps.

I still want that yellow fog light film.

Also get rid of those front orange reflectors

I did it just for looks.

In theory a perfectly dialed in set of spacers could help on the track.

I doubt you would notice anything real on the street on the way to work.

They will make the steering feel slightly slower/wider if no other adjustments are made to compensate. Some people do not notice but it will be obvious to a car nut on a vehicle with good steering feel.

How and where do I get something like this done? Tire shops? Didn't know what looked off with the car until I saw this thread and noticed the wheels are basically narrower than the body

So yes a performance shop in your area will be able to do it.

Houston - I'm sure there are a ton of them.

Get 4 sets of 15mm spacers. Order them from r33_RGsport on this forum, that's where I got mine. DO NOT go cheap....good quality spacers are important (HUB-Centric).

Make sure that the shop who installs them uses "anti seize grease" before they put on the spacers.

Torque the bolts to 110LB FT.

Drive off and after about 10 min of driving, go back to the shop and Torque them down again to spec.

You're done!

P.S. - I was going to try 12mm on the rears, but the 15mm all round is perfect. The car looks SO stout and meaner too

Seems like a job anyone can do if they don't mind removing tires and have the right equipment (torque wrench, etc)

Make sure you get a quality extended lug bolt for the added length. H&R bolts are very good heat treated bolt. Do not get chinese lug bolts.

No problems with tires rubbing on the fenders? Is 15mm the max offset that will fit?

No rubbing at all. Personally I wouldn't go higher.

So an update.....after driving around for a day, the wheels actually set into a bit of a negative camber. It's visually apparent too. Felt it while driving. Sliiiightly better handling I think that since the wheels were farther out they eventually settled inwards more

Did you use longer lugs when you installed yours? I just ordered the H&R spacers and i cannot tell if they include the longer lugs or if i have to buy those separately.

Lug bolts are sold separately from H&R.
I always got initial complaint that the price I quoted is high, until they got their order from somewhere else and found that there is no lug bolts.
