Stage 2 OTS maps
Anyone ran/run BM3 stage 2 pump gas maps on factory downpipes? Their site says must have hi-flow downpipes to run stage 2 pump gas, or E30 maps.

I asked this question a while back and got no responses even though I think there are a few that have/re. I would log log log. Stock downpipes flow plenty, but the tune may not be matched up the best with cats restricting flow. I feel like custom tune is the way to go, the drivability between OTS and custom for me was pretty significant.

The only difference between stage 1 and stage 2 for these and custom maps is that stage 2 deactivates the downstream O2 sensors. There is no inherit difference in timing or boost.

I appreciate the reply’s, guys! I have a custom E50 map, but the car ran sporadically going into limp mode a couple of times… I did NOT gap my plugs, and suspect that was the cause. Long story short, the car runs incredibly well on the OTS E30 map, so that’s what made me ask about the stage 2 maps. Thanks again for the reply’s.

Yeah...I don't know about slow, lol. Someone in the FB group was ripping low low 11s on a 93 stg 2 and if I recall correctly, even a 10.99 on straight e10 93.
I am on a Custom 93 for daily and best rip yet was a 10.94, but the throttle response and drivability is so much more linear on the custom map, especially down low before boost builds. |

I ran a 10.65 @ 131mph on the E30 OTS map…. I ran 158mph in the 1/2 mile on the custom E50 map. I was told by my tuner, no need to gap the plugs, but it shit the bed at a private track rental I went to trying for a personal best. Long story short, I’m not sure if it was a plug gap issue, or a lpfp issue? Anyway, went back to factory calibration, and sorted the drivability of the car. Zero problems since reverted back to stock. Been messing with my custom F80 Paul flex-fuel in my M2C, so I put this project to bed until now.
