MSS springs

So I had the MSS adjustable spring installed a month 1/2 ago and I really don"t feel the difference and I'm feeling the rear extremely harsh for the worst. It felt better on the stock height. I'm 100% thinking to switching (in the near future) with the KW V3 as I'm not liking the ride quality on the MSS.

This is interesting because some feedback has indicated a softer ride? You're saying a harsher ride, yes? How low did you go?

I’ve been told if you go all the way down you’ll be riding on the bump stops. Mine rides much better than stock (more comfortable). I’ll prob switch to KWv3 as I prefer a firmer ride and I can go lower with them

I went with Ben's r33_RGSport recommended tread count setting F 10mm R 25mm. I feel it harsher in the rear than stock.

Did you guys switch the rear bump stop to the front and use the supplied bump stop on the rear?
Something is not right, the setup has been good and have a good feedback.

Yeah, the supplied bump stop was installed in the rear. It' might just be me (thinking the ride is harsh) since I'm use to coilovers

Harsher than stock or KW V3 at soft setting?

Ok - I’ve been experiencing the same thing with the MSS 2 months after install. Just seems a bit harsh in the rear. I just looked and it does in fact look like the OEM beige bump stop is on the rear and the MSS black one on the front despite my asking them to swap them. Will this really make a big difference? Knowing this shop it’s going to be a serious hassle to get them to redo it. Does it require a full reinstall to switch bump stops?

Pic is the front. Can you tell from this that the MSS and not the OEM bump stop is on here?

I need better picture. Seems like OE bumpstop.
The front would be easier to see once you jack up the front end.
Also, if you have black bump stop, that would be the first original set. Did you buy it used?

Edit: just realized that it is front shock, lol.
Seems like OE bumpstop on the front. Now need to confirm the rear bump stop.

Yea, something is not right. Not with the spring itself, seems like something wasn't done properly.
The retail setup is not my personal X3MC setup where I purposely requested stiffer spring.

Here are better pics (as good as I can get without a jack at home). First 2 are front, third one is rear and then the kit you sold me. The black I was referring to were the MSS stops in the kit. The shop gave me back 2 beige OEM stops so I know they used the MSS ones. In these new pics the front looks like maybe the OEM beige are on there? So maybe they did it right? The harshness I get is over any speed bump or small/medium potholes a much harsher clunk/thump than stock. I get frequent rubbing in those situations in the rear with the 12mm spacers and chassis on comfort after spring install. Appreciate the advice!

Spring positioning all looks good. But, I still couldn't make up the bump stop.
Can you take a picture of the bump stop that the shop returned to you next to a ruler so I know what's the length?

I'll check on Monday when I am at the office with my notes.

I've had both. The MSS is WAY to soft for me. If you lower it too much, the ride SUCKS as your right on the bumpstops. Takes the M out of the car. A lot of guys like them, to me personally, it takes the edge away from the car. I now have the H&R's. Ride is similar to stock, but it doesn't lower the car enough for me. I'm going back to the KWV3's I had on my 22 X3M Comp. Best of all worlds.

KW V3 is best of both world. Can't beat that for sure, it just KW was reluctant in releasing it because SUV is a small market, then MSS was first in the market that goes lower.

Hey I see you are are local to me. You are not able to see if the rear springs are seated properly from these pictures. I can tell you from experience that you will get all sorts or vibration and rattles when it's not seated properly. I'd check that.

r33_RGSport hooked me up w the MSS Kit and I can say it rides better than stock. I changed the setting to max low on the front and 15mm rear. No issues for me

Do you loose the electronic dampening and if so how does the truck deal with that?

If you go KW v3, Yes you loose the EDC. They sell the kit to block off the EDC so it doesn't throw the code
