F25 Rear Diff

HI

Have found that I have a weeping oil seal on the rear diff together with a whine that occurs above +/- 60mph so am looking as a minimum of dropping the rear diff to change the seal and possibly installing a 2nd hand / refurbed replacement - any tips on removal as the BMW manual indicates that special tools are required to remove the drive shafts.

Tks
