Tire Upgrade and 0-60 Times

Ive had my 2022 X3M Comp for about a month now, and it is a mind blowing machine. All the "harsh ride" worries are gone once you feel the power and you've put a Tennessee backroad through it's paces.

However, I have only been able to get a 3.7 second 0-60 time at best using launch control, and that is with warm tires, on a good surface. The stock Conti SportContact 6's just struggle for grip during launch. I believe I have seen stock X3M Comp's getting 3.4-3.5 with almost instant grip/hookup at the start of a launch.

Will switching to the Michelin PS4S's give noticeably better grip on launch, among other benefits? My Contis still have plenty of life on them but I hate to think that they are limiting the vehicle.

I was able to get high 3 second 0-60 times with truly POS 245 wide Pirelli's.
I run Continentals and have no issues running low 3's 0-60. There is a lot of 4 wheel hop at full launch control. But its still low 3s.
But yes Michelins will be the best street tire to give you best performance in 40+ degree weather.

My pirelli All Seasons grip better than the stock Contis that lasted under 10k Miles. I did do the 295/265 upgrade.

The factory f97/f98 conti's truly suck and are prone to cracking. Grip is horrible compared to even DWS

I managed a 3.8 0-100km/h or 0-60mph on my second run with the contis on a 2021 x3m comp. *stock

From my experience, the contis work well when it's warmer weather plus they only lasted me 20k kms or roughly 12k miles.

Do you have the DWS06 Plus tires? and are they OEM 255/265 or did you go with the 265/295? How do you like them?

On my last car, 392 Charger, the DWS's were great vs oem and a larger sized Nitto G2's. About a year before I sold it I moved to the 275 DWS's on the rear and they hooked way better than a larger 295 Nitto 555 G2's. Still had wheel spin, but it was manageable.

Unfortunately, I am on MPS4S with the F97. but like you had great experiences with DWS on other rwd bmws.

I have Continental DWS 06+ on my 2020 non comp and they have been great. Prior to my tune, I was at 3.8 sec 0-60 on these tires when it was around 40 degrees out. So, even in cold weather, they performed rather well.
