Cleaning the instrument cluster screen on the X3 M Comp.

What's the best way to clean the LCD screens on this vehicle? I have the 2023 X3 M Comp.

I'm gun shy because the screen in my 2018 M2 would scratch and develop swirl marks no matter how careful you were. Even a clean microfiber would put fine scratches in the M2 screen.

I'm hoping these are a bit more scratch resistant.

I’ve always used Griot’s Garage Window Cleaner, with one of their blue edge-less detailing microfiber cloths and had great results, with no scratches. I do this on both my X3M and X7.

I usually use eyeglass cleaner and one of the included clothes.
I'm considering a screen protector for the center console display.

I was thinking about the iDrive display today myself. I have one of the glass matte anti-glare screen protectors on my phone and iPad. I wonder if there is a way to get one for the center screen.

I bought a glass screen protector for the main iDrive/Infotainment screen so a simple microfiber + water does the trick.

as for the instrument cluster, I have a very soft makeup brush that I use to clean off dust. I also use this brush for the AC vents. other then that, nothing else goes on the instrument cluster. I thought about getting a screen protector for that as well but hesitant only because the glossy surface would make it difficult to read, especially with any glare from outside light.

Do you have a link for the screen protector?

you can find several on ebay and amazon. My local xpel dealer sells and installs xpel for the console/idrive screen. May look into that as well

That's a good idea. I was wondering how PPF or something similar would work as a screen protector

it works amazingly well, it is completely oleo and hydro phobic, and if you get the matte finish it kills the glare. Love it on mine
