"Your current average is equal to that of the community"

I'm getting 3.23kWh.

Auto climate control, heated steering wheel (usually left on), low regen mode, comfort. 400 miles or so done with half of that on motorways. Most journeys are short trips locally. So far, what an efficient machine. Impressive!

Is pre heat/climate control taken into account in the numbers? I tend to preheat and have found I don't bother with using heated seats. Actually, I should check the heated seats work because I've not tested them since I got the car 11 days ago!

We typically have 4-5 occupants in total. So again, quite impressed with the efficiency numbers and I really don't drive carefully.

I honestly don't get why mine is so bad.

We just did a long trip over the weekend. With lower than the speed limit speeds on motorways we got absolutely horrible consumption.

Tried turning every single thing in the car off. Made no difference.

I'm baffled.

Is everyone converting their consumption correctly?

I misquoted and realise the app shows energy per 100 miles. So 32.5kWh /100 miles is actually 100/32.5 = 3.1 miles per kWh

That's still good imo - anything above 3 I'm happy with. But some of you are getting close to 25kWh per 100 miles which is around 4 miles per kWh - that is amazing!

So the lower the number in the app the better right? Why don't they just show miles per kWh which is what we're interested in!

Gnillab if my understanding above is correct, your efficiency is outstanding and well above 4 miles per kWh

Gnillab is working in kilometres which is 100/24.4 =4.1 kilometres / 1.6 = 2.6 miles per kilowatt

☹️

What tyre pressure is everyone running? My app says 32/37 PSI on 19" winter tyres.

GaSelle are you the same?

I did a 370 mi (600 km) trip this weekend.

We averaged 43 kWh/100mi (27 kWh/100km) which I think is far from satisfactory, given the community average.

Under way we experimented with different speeds and climate settings and nothing had an effect.

It doesn't seem to matter if I drive 70 or 75 mph (110/120 km/t), which I keep reading should have a noticeable impact.

Not sure I’m a good benchmark since I seem to be stuck around your average of 2.6 miles per KWh, but I’ve not been trying to eek out efficiency so feel it would be better with more efficient driving….

Are you using any of the assisted driving modes? I have used this and must say it feels it can moderate throttle use more quickly than I can with the foot and have seen the consumption improve.

The other one I haven’t tested is around regen and B mode driving….I use B mode as a default which I find great for town driving but I’m wondering if it’s not so great on motorways as it doesn’t seem to want to coast at speed so not sure if it’s more efficient for the car to regen at motorway speeds or coast?

I was just about to question whether Gnillab is defaulting to driving in B Mode. Around town it makes sense but if you're at higher speeds, motorways, less stop / start driving, adaptive regen makes better sense. Leaving the AC off certainly uses less energy and unless the weather's particularly warm or the interior is getting steamed up with condensation, I'd suggest leaving it off and the climate on Auto to keep the temp at a constant. I'm averaging just over 3 miles / kWh with 3.5 regularly seen in "ideal" driving conditions. 2.5 does seem low....

Do you run with AC off and climate on Auto?
A/C on, 19-20 degrees on Auto, Comfort mode and adaptive regen.

2,9 / 3.2 bar (front/rear). + 0.1 bar more than recommended (19" summer wheels).

Currently 30 kWh/100 mi (3.3 mile kWh). 72 trips in March for 1355 Miles, mostly motorway and dual carriageways.
PSI 36/40 on Yoko Summers as set when I collected the car from the dealer.

I would say your winter tyres are playing a part in your low figures.

I agree my winters hit the range massively when I swapped them on. My local running about dropped from about 4.2 m/kWh to about 3(ish).

I also believe that winter tires have an influence, my values, if it helps with the summer Yoko, are between 2.9 and 3.1 mile per kWh after 2,500 miles and they improve as the weather also improves.

Yet with a similar setup I'm at 3.9 kWh/100mi.

Edit: Sorry, I somehow read that you were also on winters. My colleague has vastly better figures than mine, also on winter tires.

I have talked to a local garage and they acknowledged that what I'm seeing, specifically that speed and AC usage has little to no impact on consumption, is not normal. It's booked for a checkup in two weeks.

I imagine you meant 3.9 kWh/ 100 km = 2.4 kWh/ 100 mi, right?
I hope the local garage can tell you something, let us know how it goes, good luck with that

A mile is 1,6x longer than a km, I think your math is a bit off here.

And no, unfortunately. See my screenshot earlier in the thread. I'm at 2.4 kWh/100km.

Also, see above. My last, longer trip was 4.3 kWh/100mi.

My consumption is abysmal, even with ultra sensible driving and literally everything turned off.

I'm sorry for my mistake.

In any case, multiplying your data by 10, we are talking about the same thing . that two together
I hope they can help you because are high values !!

My consumption was quite a lot higher with the winters on too, so did an early swap to summers.
