I have to research this...the buckle is in the retracted position, and it rattles. When I reach over and pull slightly--it goes away. Until next day.

Sometimes I have to remind myself when reading these posts that others have much deeper pockets than mine. It also helps explain why there are so many CPO BMWs and other luxury brand vehicles with less that 5,000 miles.
Me at the dealer. Hey, why did the previous owner trade the car in. Sales advisor responds, he didn’t like the black trim around the gear shifter. Hope nobody takes this the wrong way, just trying to have some fun. I was in the same boat. We bought and 2019 XC90, was confused on the options as we were cross shopping it with an XC60. Ended up buying it and then realized it didn’t have front parking sensors. Yep, Volvo’s top of the line SUV doesn’t have front parking sensors as standard equipment. After two weeks and a botch attempt by another dealer to install Volvo’s Park assist package which has the front sensors, we traded the XC90 in for the exact same color combo but with the Advance package which has all the sensors. Ended up only paying the difference and feel very fortunate the dealer took care of us. And now to address the subject of this thread. - car won’t auto engage the parking brake when placed in park unless you have the auto hold turned on. I don’t like using the auto hold feature, but still think the car needs to apply the parking brake automatically when I put the car in park. My Volvo does it and it’s a nice feature. - heated steering wheel needs to have multiple levels of heat. Now it’s just off or scorching hot. - no USB ports in the back seat - wireless charging is not standard - CarPlay requires a subscription - no android auto - can’t customize the driver display...you only get three options: sport, comfort, or econ - 20” wheels should be standard on the M40i - $60k vehicle and door closing doesn’t feel solid...Mercedes wins here - glare from the hud trim reflection on the windshield - display dimming issue after you tint your windows - removable plastic trim on the drivers door handle. For 2 days I thought this is what you pushed to lock the doors - light bleeds through the sunroof shade - rear cargo mat is cheap and flimsy and when in use you can’t install a cargo net There’s more, but besides all this I love the car. |

Not only that, but that 750 is going to be a hell of a gas guzzler. I think his concerns could have been addressed by ordering the right options on the X3; i.e., sport seats instead of ventilated, 20" wheels/tires instead of 21", insulated glass ordered from BMW post-delivery, and piano black trim possibly replaced with after-market product if you're so inclined.

I am at a couple days shy of 2 months ownership. Luckily coding has fixed the most annoying things like the fake exhaust sound and auto start/stop.
I really like the car and really only have one gripe that is probably something I have to live with. The rain sense wipers have a mind of there own. Living in Washington we have rain. I have used all sensitivity settings and right now it is on the least sensitive. Today they seemed at time like they were never going to wipe to high speed in heavy mist. Very weird. Sometimes in the morning in the garage they do a phantom wipe. Really random on that one. I may just go back to manual wiper control? For me this is my first car in this class of cars and my expectations were pretty high and mostly met. I would pick the same car again.

Just had to replace a fuse as the one protecting the utility plug in the console blew. Who decided to make the fuse blocks so inaccessible? And the stupid card that shows fuse assignment - what sadist came up with that? Who can figure out those pictograms? And when I finally found the one for the plugs there are 6 or 7 fuses listed some behind the glove box some in the cargo area - Why so many? there aren't that many utility plugs in the car.

I hate my driver side ventilated seat.
Also, I very regret, that bmw decided not to show gear and rpm in the HUD on non M models cars. Think it is so cheap move on their side. |

That is the case for all HUDs and polarized glasses. Just part and parcel for the technology.

I actually love the size, I find most steering wheels to small to grab comfortably.

It was one of the first things I noticed when I drove off. Probably will adjust to it, I'm sure. Material feels terrific btw.
