Can anything be done about stiff suspension?
Love the car but it's an absolute wreck on bad roads, suspension on this car is way too stiff
Considering changing cars but was wondering if anything considerable can be done? Smaller wheels, different springs is what I've found out but I'm unsure if the difference will be there

You have an LCI/new F97 (2022/2023)? The ride is much improved over the pre-LCI (2020/2021) but it's still an M car, so it's going to be stiff. You can improve it with springs but at the end of the day, it's a sports car (with an SUV body), so it can be improved, but not all that much.

Honestly, if you like the X3MC itself, try and find an LCI. You're going to save a good bit over the Macan and it drives just as good if not better with more performance/interior features.
If any dealer near you has a 2022 *or* 2023 X3MC *or* X4MC you can get a good idea if they'll let you take it on a few rounds around the block. |

I’m thinking the X3 M is just not a fit for your needs. I can’t speak about the Posche but the X3 M40i may be a better fit. Ride is much more compliant and still has good power and great low end torque

Would you mind elaborating on this? I am thinking about an X3M but agree with the OP that the suspension is just brutal on anything besides smooth pavement. I drove a 20 and a 21. There are no 22s around me yet but I am curious as to what changed. Software changes, hardware or both? Thanks!

Spot-on. The buyer's remorse in this thread is completely, 100% preventable.

In my opinion anyone who complains about the ride of the X3 M bought the wrong car. The X3 M is hardcore and anyone who wants a more compliant ride needs to avoid any M cars. Sell it and drive an X3 M40i. That will satisfy the majority of people who need a sporty feel with a comfortable ride. The X3 M will never make you happy if you think the ride is harsh.

But the thing is, the general purpose of an SUV is to bring people around and about and I've had nothing but complaints from family and friends about the harshness Roads where I live are also extremely bad, so you really get that super stiff bounciness On another topic, not sure why people say the macan gts will be such a different experience. Doesn't have the same power, but the handling and pdk surely make up for it. And it's also not as stiff. Think it's actually the next best thing if you want a similair experience
