What key cover you using?

I am trying to find the correct key cover for my 2018 X3.

Dealer only have Black nice leather one for old style key, not the new style key that come with G01.

Looked at BMW website , the have a big picture of keycover for new style key, but if you look carefully, it doesn't list as any of the available product.

https://www.shopbmwusa.com/KEYCHAINS-CONTROL

I saw a lot of option on Ebay. However I am trying to find original BMW one, instead of cheap stuff from China.

Can you share what OEM key cover you got, would be best if you can share the part number as well.
Thanks

I know you don't want from Ebay, but I can't tell the difference between that cover and the OEM. Even the packaging looks genuine. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F282405282682

Click on the link for the one I'm using. It's a bit thick, but it would be very difficult to inadvertently press any of the buttons:

Currently have the Genuine BMW Leather Key Case with Stainless Steel Clip (Part Number 82-29-2-344-033) on my 2nd keyfob. I find it to be too bulky, so I don't carry it around anymore.

For my primary keyfob, I use an AutoTecknic carbon fiber case. Much less bulky and more beautiful.

I have comfort access and the M Performance keyfob.
I put the key in my pocket before leaving the house and take it out again when i get home.
I'm not sure i've actually used any of the buttons on the keyfob in the last 5500 miles....

Thats the reason I want to use Key cover.

I read so many people press the "Trunk" key by accident, and the trunk being open INSIDE the garage with the garage door closed, which damaged the tailgate (Paint damage)

Weird. The box picture is slightly different than your actual case pic (white vs grey text).

I found the one pictured at https://www.shopbmwusa.com/PRODUCT/5...MANCE-KEY-CASE but I fear that it's for the old fob. You seem to have a version for the new fob that came in a box for old fob.

It's a great sturdy case. Use a little threadlock compound on set screw and do not over tighten. No chance of random pocket pressing keys with this rather pricey case...

The key fob is pretty tight in there and does not slide out when I use it with a key ring. It does take some effort to slide it out when you want to press the buttons.

Agree - I have one for each key and love them. I should also point out that I rarely need to press any of the buttons on the key fob so it just sits in my work bag or pocket.

Weird, because it's non-OEM, made in China.

But i still ordered one anyway for the second keyfob...

I just drop by the dealer and got the leather fob cover.
Fit nicely.

Sadly I dropped the key this morning on my driveway , so already dent the tip of it.
At least now it is less chance to open the tailgate by accident

The M Performance key cover is nice but I wish it had a way of attaching to a belt loop.
