Trunk space is important, too. I can put the baby stroller inside and some bags on top. And I’ll tell you one more thing. That M xDrive is pretty sweet... |

That being said, I'd still love to have both this and an F80. I think it'd be the perfect pair. I'm still considering trying to get my previous F80 back from the guy who I traded it to and just buying it, but who knows.

Iwent from m235i to m340i and I love it. It's light years ahead in all categories. If new M3 is anything like it , it will be great. Speed and handling several ticks up from m340. It may even make you forget the grill. XM3 is a great vehicle. Best of luck with your choice!

If you get bored in a few months and want to swap it out, make sure to let me know, my lease is coming due.
Curious how much time you spent with the ride on the summer tires or if you swapped straight onto the winters? I like everything about the comp but the ride scares me a bit after getting used to the plushness of the X5 on 19's. Especially given how bad the LI roads have gotten after winter + limited repaving. 25A is just a row of landmines. We're right down the block from each other (I'm up in Huntington) - recognized the Woodbury scenery as soon as I saw it. If you get a socially distant meetup going let me know, my wife's X5 lets me wear my BMW gear again ;-)

I don't think you'll be hearing from me on getting rid of it, but I'll keep you in mind.

Great vid! I've driven that route many times
One thing I would add about the sport modes: along with the aggressive shifts, it also holds the RPMs higher for longer. In other words, it will not downshift as quickly when you let off the gas and is ready for more fun. What's amazing is it will behave similarly in comfort mode just by hitting the gas hard. It's like "Oh you want to go fast? I got ya" I've never been so amazed by a transmission as this one. Did you get on 495 without a radar? Cray! |
