2020 X4M Competition

MSRP: $85,945
Selling Price: $77,436 (9.9% discount)
Lease cash credit and loyalty: $5,500
MF: 0.00118
Term: 10k / 36 mths

ZERO drive-off

Monthly payment $936

Thanks for the feedbacks in advance.
Yes, seems solid. For reference, I was offered, after a fair amount of haggling (and am strongly leaning towards) a 2020 X3M Comp, MSRP just under $83k, day 1 drive-off is $2.5k, 36/10k, $800/month taxes included. Same MF as you. Your MSRP is $3k higher and I have a $2.5k down payment. For every $1k not capitalized, knock off about $28 off the monthly payment (assuming the same residual for both cars). This means the difference that my $5.5k ($3k lower MSRP and $2.5k down) makes on the monthly payment is around $155. $936 less $155 is $781 per month. You win! 🤣

On a slightly different note... has anyone tried cross-shopping with any of the X3M competitors? I tried yesterday with an Alfa Stelvio QF. With about an $84k MSRP, 36 month / 5,000 mile lease, $3k down, the estimated monthly lease payment was just under $1,400 per month!!! Ouch! 😳

Just curious to see if anyone has had better / comparable deals with any of the direct X3M Comp peers (apart from the Stelvio QF, there is the GLC 63s; Macan Turbo, Jaguar F-pace SVR).

That's a zero down finance payment, not a lease payment. If you got that quote from a dealership they clearly have no interest in selling you that Alfa.

They're probably not interested, I guess. 🤷. After I (electronically) laughed in the sales person's face on that "offer", I was then asked if I would be interested in purchasing instead of leasing (so I know the number thrown out was a leasing offer). Maybe Alfas have zero residual value! 😅

I'm surprised the June lease information hasn't been released yet. Maybe by Friday?

The residual on an Alfa QV is almost 10 points lower than the X3M. A realistic 36/15 lease on a 85k QV is probably around 1100 a month.

Yes, I am aware of the (much) lower residual on the Alfa. It never fails to amaze me, though. $1,400/month for a 36/5 lease (not even 36/15!) on a $84k car... mind blown.

It will be released in June. They don’t release this information earlier. Makes sense, as people would wait to see if deals get better or worse instead of purchasing right away.

Oh thank you for your calculation as comparison. I guess we all win coz regardless of our payments, we really enjoy our BMWs

X3MC
MSRP: $81750
Price: $71280
Incentives: $5000 + $1000 credit 1st & second pmt
Drive off: $3k
Payment $805 including tax

Only downside is .00040 mf markup. Lost the battle, but discount was solid and mostly offsets it.

Got an insane offer from CarMax on my six month old X3 m40i.
Closed on this. They reworked the plumbing (decreased discount to $9k but gave me base mf) added the road to summer deal (mostly) and got the payment to $797 incl. tax. Netted $3.4k from my x3 m40i, so overall cash neutral.

Upsides were
Secured PS4S's
Surprisingly the mobility kit option (no space saving spare)

All in, I'm ecstatic. Pics to come. Thanks all.

Congrats! They at the last minute applied the road to summer for me too!

Congratulations on this beast! I just closed on mine as well. X3MC, msrp $82,695. Will spare the glory details of the incentives / discounts. $799/month all inclusive. I didn't have an M40i to trade in, so I paid $3.5k upfront (incl. first month). Got a wild color combo - toronto red exterior (my first and only choice) but black/beige alcantara interior. The interior really pops... not for the faint-hearted! I didn't want a full black interior, nor did I want red (tartufo) interior with red exterior. Grey looked too much like the inside of an elephant. Midrand beige/black it is! 😁

Now thinking about mods...

Thanks! No, not Springfield but I had reached out to them. They unfortunately were not the most responsive 🤨
