Delivery Day of our Donnington X3M Competition...

We finally took delivery 📦 of our 20’ X3M Comp in Donnington Grey. We ordered it back in January....car arrived at Dealership in end of March. Took a bit with scheduling with everything that’s been going on. But we brought her home finally over the Weekend! Super excited as is the Wifey, since it’s her new ride “technically”. Haha. We’ve gone from an Audi fam to a BMW fam in less than a year.

PS. Pic with my M2 in handicapped spot was taken when Dealership was closed and doing “Appointment Only” showings. I moved it after a couple minutes once my Sales Manager came out to greet. There were also 9 other empty Handi spots available.

Great color choices, although I'm biased obviously. Congrats on the new vehicle! Enjoy!

Thanks Everyone!! Car was dropped at Detailers Domain for full car PPF Wrap...should be back Sunday/Monday. Looking ahead at Winter setups.....want to run 20’s (As opposed to 21’s) for Winter. Is it better to run the same tire size Staggered Setup....versus Square setup? I’m looking to get a separate set of Winter Wheels to run them with...

On a F97/98? I was told that's impossible by the dealer. I sold my 19" winters when I upgraded from the M40i. Please provide more info on the 19s you're running.

Will do. I'll go out shortly and get you the exact tire sizes and a pic of the rim & tire. I'll try to find the link for the rims too. Give me a couple of hours, they're wrapped up for the season.

Here you go. Note, these are RFT's because I travel quite a bit up to my cottage in Québec during the winter months and don't want to get stuck with a flat anywhere along the way. Furthermore, like you, these were on my 2019 X3m40i for 1 winter before transferring over to my '20 X3mc. As I said, zero issues with the fit.

Here's the link to the Replika site (they're out of Montréal) - https://www.replika.ca/. I can't find my invoice from 2018, but believe they were the R198's...?

Very interesting. Didn’t think 19’s would fit/clear Calipers....but since the brakes on an M40i are basically the same as on X3M, it makes sense. Do You have any Pics with your 19’s on you X3M?? TIA

No, sorry. That's them on the garage floor. They've been off since early April. They look absolutely fine on the vehicle

Wow that is really surprising to me. I also was told 19" would not fit and everything I read here confirmed it.

Moreover, my 20" wheels barely clear the calipers. Like I can't even get a finger in between.

I would have had more options with 19"s had I known.

Please post pics in the winter with them installed - I'm sure this would be news to most X3M owners.

I can certainly do that come November 1, but not sure what it is you would expect to see? Clearance on the caliper? You'll have to remind me for the pic because I'll definitely forget lol...that's nearly 6 months out

That would be great. I'm just amazed they will fit as my 20"s have barely any room at all. Maybe a 1/4".

I'll try and remember as well

Thank you. Makes me wish I'd at least tried before selling them. Oh well, glad you found a 19" solution that works!
