Not seeing a strong justification for Exec (don't care too much about the HUD, gesture control, or heated rear seats, not spending $3900 for a heated steering wheel)!

Any news on what tires will ship with these? Will it be a 3-season tire not suitable for cold weather (e.g. PSS, PS4S)? If this is discussed in another thread feel free to point me there.
This is my exact thought as well... out of exec., I'd only really miss the heated steering wheel but not for $3900!

I have the opposite problem, there are no silver wheel options. The competition wheels are too black for my taste, not a fan of them.

Yeah the two tone I've never really been a fan of, but they should at lease give us the option for straight silver or straight black for those who like that better. Still an awesome vehicle at the price point though!

I believe it also included wireless phone charging and heated steering wheel. Those are the two features I want out of that package.

You would kill the deal over a surround camera? The camera sucks anyway. Def not a deal killer for me.

That will come next year to entice people to start a new lease term...all about money

Wasn't aware the GLC63 is lighter by almost 150lbs, had to look it up. But it makes since how quick it is with less hp. 0-60 is listed at 3.8sec, I remember couple mags getting mid 3's with the non-S. It seems like a winner, also looks more aggressive with the wider stance.

Without!

It's stronger to have a Thule Rack directed mounted to the internal roof frame.

heated fronts are standard. but in order to get rear heated seats or steering wheel, u must get executive package.
This is why BMW still needs to make hardcopy sales brochure/catalogs for their expensive vehicles with all their ever increasing plethora of options.

Who the hell needs heated rear seats, it's just one more thing to break. But a Heated Steering well that's worth getting and that should be an available Option all by itself!

More electronics = more longterm failures.

someone please explain why the exec package is $3900, I mean I added up like $2,000 worth of options in it, or is there stuff they don't show on the site thats included?

personally all I want is the heated seats/steering wheel and HUD. that should be $1500

Remember when BMW used to give you a TON of stand alone options and not Lexus style packages, those were the good ole days.

Everyone was really hoping it was a typo when these were announced a couple months ago, guess its NOT.

Why is this 300 lbs more than the M40i with the same size engine?

The worst part is that its the HEAVIEST in its class, when has a BMW M ever been the Heaviest in its class?
When Jaguar puts a V8 into its F Pace and its 4395 lbs, Mercedes GLC63 with V8 4517 lbs, why is BMW this heavy? Alfa 4340 lbs (which is what the X3M should be)
Heck even the Range Rover Velar SVAuto... is 4700 lbs and we all know Range Rovers are fat @^%$#@$
This thing really weighs 1,000 lbs more than my M3, M division should be ashamed

Would love to hear an explanation from BMW, makes it really hard to drop $80K on this.

:bs: I've never seen a heated seat fail but whatever.

It's 100 percent more likely the seat movement buttons will fail first ...

Yes, actually. When a car is a daily driver, certain convenience and safety features matter, and for me surround view is one of them, along with adaptive cruise control (which does seem available). It's amazing how surround view really helps with parking, especially in tighter spaces. It's readily available on the competition and on less expensive BMWs. Speculation here based on inferences from photos is that it might be available on the X3M, but BMW is not making that easy to confirm just yet.

Guessing on some of these values and others from the non M

Panoramic sunroof 1,350
Heads up display 800
Parking assistance 700
Heated rear seats 350
Wireless charging 200
WiFi 200
Rear window shades 250
Heated steering wheel 190
Gesture control 190

I'm stuck with it too since I want heads up and parking assistance.

The 2020 M550i with rumored 530hp V8 from the M850i seems like a better proposition. It's a "lightweight" at 4372 lbs compared to the X3M, more luxurious, will probably ride better and most likely will sound better. The only question that remains is whether it'll lease better.
It's the length I don't like about 5 series. I like cars under 190" for driving and parking reasons (tight garage).

Why couldn't they just use that engine in the X3M, more torque too.

Terrific point. Check out the lease rates on the M5 and M5Comp. I would bet the M550i will lease better than the X3 Comp.

I hear you but I would rather drive a longer car than this pig SUV. Very disappointed with the weight.
