Do you guys think this is a good deal? FWIW I live in the DFW area and this is from a out of state dealer. Any feedback or leads on where I could get a better deal are greatly appreciated!
Following. I am heading to some dealerships today in the DFW area to check on some deals.
Nice- let us know what you find out there.

I got mine last week. I think the MSRP was about $65-66k and got $4,500 off before rebates.

My rebates were $1.5k loyalty and $2k financing.

Not quite what you are looking at, but I just picked up a 2019 X3 xDrive30i. MSRP was about $52.5K and price was $46.5K, before $4K in incentives. Based on initial offers I received via email, I think I could have done comparably at least a couple of the Houston area dealers.

$4K incentive is nice!
Besides $1.5K loyalty, $2K finance, $0.5K USAA and $1K student rebates, are there any other incentives currently, and can they all stack?

$6K dealer discount on $52.5K MSRP is 11.4%, one of the best (or maybe the best) I see on this forum. Does it include $1K OL code?

I missed the $1k hunger drive (I think) test drive rebate in November. Darn. That's stackable

I think that would have given an OL code that could be applied before tax, slightly better than rebates (depending on sales tax of your area).

In Texas at least, all rebates reduce sales tax.

You are right. I forgot that some states do not tax rebates. Here is a table from Edmunds (not sure whether it is up-to-date though).

The $4K was finance, loyalty, and USAA. No OL codes (that I'm aware of … I don't know what one is) were included.

There are some BMW events every year such as test driving their newly launched cars. After attending, participants may get a $1000 voucher (valid for a few months) from BMW that can be stacked with dealer discount. I think people call the voucher OL code here.

Curious, what dealer in CA did you use?

We purchased, not lease.
My listed price on the window tag was $56,495.
Final price $50,600 (loyalty discount, Costco discount, BMW financing discount and hell of a lot of bargaining back an forth).
The price does not included taxes or the other options we bought through finance dept, such as the Xcel protection package.

Finance was about 3% so that part was not much of a deal.. Debating to pay it off or apply the amount to the mortgage which is a bit higher.

Not quite the $6k, but pretty close.. Had I seen this site before.. I might have tried to pushed it to $8k.
We did also did get some discount on our floor mats and cargo mat.

The cost of all the bargaining was a huge amount of time. I think we started looking around 2PM (test drive, etc), and ended up finished with the dealing around 6:30PM and left home at 9:30PM!
Overall I think it was a reasonable deal.. but of course would like to have gotten it for less.
Not sure how this pricing compares to the lease where they were getting $8k discounts.

At which steps of X3 build can dealer still modify an order to add/remove options?

Happy New Year Everyone!

I found this awesome forum for X3 owners and joined it a few minutes ago.

Just ordered a BMW X3 (G01) a few days ago - Phytonic Blue - should be delivered by Jan 7th 2019.

I recently relocated out of the SF Bay Area to Pune India - the car prices here are insane compared to the prices in the US - mainly due to Government duties and a one time 15 year road tax registration fees which are pretty high for luxury cars in India.

I paid approximately $92,857 at the current exchange rate for a BMW X3 xDrive 20d Luxury Line variant here in India.

Holy smokes! That's an expensive X3

Congrats on the purchase though

Thank you.

Considering the dealer price of $102,857 - I think I got a relatively good deal.

This is straight up Tesla model X territory in terms of pricing

Foreign countries you can pay 2 to 3 times as much..
I've talked to people who bought a simple Honda civic for nearly as much as I paid for my X3!

Well, I've heard many stories of car buyers outside of US pay 1.5X - 3X the price we pay here for the same car, mainly due to various sales tax, gas guzzler tax, excise tax, plus numerous whatever fees... Same goes for gasoline/petrol prices... owning a car is truly a luxury in those places. :

In India - Diesel is about $3.49 per gallon and around $4.01 a gallon for gasoline.

Most luxury SUV cars here in India are diesel - even though the petrol variant is available - generally the resale value of a diesel car is much higher.

The main difference between Sunnyvale, California and here - is I don't need to do the annual registration and smog test and replace license plate stickers every year - it's a one time 15 year road tax paid up front. We have a PUC (Pollution under control) certificate that you need to get once in 6 months and costs around $1

One thing is miss a lot from the US is the insane number of customization and options available either at the dealership or third party stores.

Sounds like a business opportunity. Buy here, sell there.

Unfortunately won't work - as the steering wheel in India is on the right side of the vehicle - otherwise an excellent idea

Well back in the Philippines the X3 ranges from $100K to $110K, depending on whether you get the 20D XLine or 20D MSport There isn't even an M40i option.
