Are you sure about that date? My CA sent me a chart showing the dates for each production week and they were as follows:

Week 49: 11/28-12/4
Week 50: 12/5-12/11
Week 51: 12/12-12/18
Week 52: 12/19- 12/25
Week 53: 12/26-12/31
In my recent conversation with a BMW Genius in The USA, I was told that my car will go into production week 49, which is the week of December 6 according to the email of the genius. So that would be next week for week 49. As of today, we are still in 150.

I confirm this, I heard that week 49 is the next week and it means the cars of the week 49 should be assembled during this week. But I don't remember the source of this info (forum, dealer, or something else)

I was week 48. Car sat in "Production begins" for like two weeks and then went "Entering assembly line-Quality check-Awaiting carrier assignment" in the last 48 hours, skipping all the other steps on the My BMW Garage.

Dealer called and said it should be in Chicago next week.

Mine hasn't moved, but...

1. My Garage isn't precise
2. Week 49 would be anytime between now and EOB on Sunday.

On 6th Dec my car was confirmed as status 155 - Production Complete, so it was already assembled by week 49 - w/c 12/6.

Mine has been "in production" for two weeks, with a VIN. The My Garage tracker continued to read "in production" as of this morning.

I called the Genius line, and it's actually on the assembly line. Not coincidentally, after the Genius checked my status for me, the online tracker in My Garage updated and jumped through all several stages. It will be finished tomorrow.

Week 49
I don't know the exact status, but my VIN is decoded with a build date 2021-12-03. I can suppose that the car is ready.

What decoder did you use to see that info?

My CA gave me a screenshot of BMW ordering system, confirmed production week was wk49.
Went into 150 on 11/19, production finished yesterday on 12/6.
Now it is waiting for transportation.

Mine was 150 yesterday morning. Zipped through assembly overnight and is in “quality check.” There is a light at the end of the tunnel!

Once you've entered production, you *should* be good from an options standpoint. My understanding is that once the car has entered production (status "150"), BMW has determined which parts it needs, and when it needs them at specific points on the line. Those needs have been secured and scheduled with suppliers, who arrive "just in time" (or "just in sequence," in BMW parlance).

These are weird times, so things *could* short-circuit at the last moment, but by-and-large, your options list should be relatively reliable at that point.

My question for y'all in here with recent builds. What payment did you get for your M40i? Looking to make sure I got a fair deal

Congrats!
And now it's awaiting carrier assignment. I'm 90 min from the factory, picking it up would be so much faster. But they don't allow it.

For future reference, for those using "My Garage" to track:

My build sat in 150 - production started for about two weeks. At the two-week mark, I called the phone line, gave them my build number, and they told me it was actually entering the assembly line. About 30 minutes after I got off the phone, I checked My Garage again, and it updated to match.

The next morning, it was in "quality check," and it stayed there for about 30 hours. I called again, and they told me "as of yesterday" it was in quality check. Waited about an hour, checked My Garage, and it's updated to "awaiting carrier."

Point is, My Garage isn't very reliable, and seems to update when someone pings their system in some way.

Now I await dispatch, and the agonizing time on rail and carrier before it arrives.

Awesome I hope mine is in the same boat! I just was told I had a vin by the dealer. I can’t check the actual status since I am buying in Germany
