M40i with Week 50 Build
I have an x3 M40i that has been sitting at "scheduled for production". According to BMW Genius, the build week is 50. When can I expect the car to enter production status? Any others with an x3 build week 50?

Interesting. I have one that I'm told should be done "the second week of December." I didn't get a build week from BMW Genius, but that sounds an awful lot like "week 50" to me.
Mine has been "in production" for a week or longer. I don't think "in production" means anything except they've locked your options. |

I had a week 49 build, was told it would be 12/5-12/11. Currently the car has been built and waiting for carrier assignment. Called Genius yesterday to ask about any deletions. Was told the only thing missing was digital key and passenger lumbar, was told car should be shipped 12/1 arriving @ dealer 12/4

Yes.
I don't actually know how long it's been status 150. My '19 X3 m40i was in a wreck a few weeks ago, and totaled by insurance last week. My dealer found what I was looking for in another dealer's allocation, and we were able to get it. So I kind of took over an existing order, and it was "150" already when we did. I don't know if it went to "150" last week, or if it's been there for a while, but I'm told it should be completed the second week of December. |

I *think* I'm 49, and have been in 150 for more than a week. The Genius thought it should be completed next week, which would track with the recent experiences shared here; status 150 about two weeks before completion. |

Mine just switched to “Production Begins” and nothing was deleted from the tracking site that I can see. HK is still showing on this list.

Mine is a week 50 according to the genius so yours should be at least 150 status. I think “production begins” is status 150 where it all gets locked in but I’m not positive on that. Are you able to track yours through BMW garage site?

Online tracking is available only for US customers.
For others it looks like a dealer phone tracker every week at least: - WTF, where is my car or what is the status? - I need to check the internal system, I'll call you, your call in very important for us. Or something like this. |

Much easier than trying to get info over the phone from a dealer. |

Funnily enough...I just checked my status page and my car is now "in production" with VIN assigned. But yes that was what the genius said when I talked to him last night
