I wish there was a way for BM3 to replicate the transmission and allow us to select between AWD & RWD like the F90 thst would be amazing

Regardless, this time is legit. The car is a beast with downpipes and stage 2

Do you feel much difference between Stage 1 and Stage 2? I have Stage 1 for now but plan to upgrade soon. Their numbers say it's only few percent hp/torque increase, right?

I'm not ready to jump in yet but in a year or two, once no one has issues, I would consider it assuming the gains are worth it from the competition model.

I believe this graph already shows the Comp model with 550 hp (460 whp) stock. Stage 1 tune gives you 552 whp (~662 hp).

The comp model is 505 HP stock, no? Does that translate into 460 WHP?

I keep reading BMW underrates HP which is why I am thinking this may not be the comp model.

Yes, BMW underrates the hp number. Stock comp is indeed around 550 hp (which translates into 460 whp). If you check my MHD tuning thread, those guys reported both hp and whp numbers.

Ah - thanks for clarifying.

I'm feeling this mod when I get used to the power. That will be a while as I still have 400 miles to go for break-in since my delivery at the end of December.

The problem is, this is not available from factory so it would require BM3 tons and tons of work to even attempt this.

Yeah that's true. But burble for the f80 wasn't around at first either so I figure where there is a will there is a way. It's one feature I'm sure a lot of people wish they had. It would be a game changer. But I so see your point being correct too.

I threw down on BM3 and went straight for their stage 2 93 octane high flow cat tune. Execution was easy with their software, and their tune is extremely fast. I look forward to some quarter mile runs on the local dragstrip this spring if covid allows them to open up.

They all had burbles just not as much as Competition models so it was easier to implement them to higher levels, but as time went by more selection came available as Subtle, AGGressive etc.

I'm sure if enough people suggest or ask for a feature they can work on that, as these days its all by demand and supply.

Looking forward to seeing your results
Do you have the possibility of testing your stock too same day?

Not sure. I've never raced this, or any for that matter, strip on a grudge night. In theory, I could if they're not overcrowded. Good thing about coastal Maryland is that I'm at sea level, but it's humid as can be here....well, maybe not AlexFL humid, but close!

Alright, I admit I haven't done as much research on the S58 as my N55, however, I definately needed a new charge pipe after I did the BM3 flash. So, for the engine gurus, are they plastic charge pipes still on the S58 and if so have any of you replaced them with regard to BM3?

Doesn't look like BMW makes chargepipe design where they explode like N55 these days lol. Thankfully but they still make weak rods/pistons on B58/S55/S63 in F90 M5
