There is a section that was an airstrip during the war. Germans suggested to me it's one of the best sections for Max speed runs. I don't recall the 2 lane sections having no limit. However, over the course of 2 weeks, I never spotted Police.

How could you have passed the R8? It takes very little skill to gun it on the freeway and weave in and out of lanes, and it's stupid. It's actually illegal to pass cars on the right in Germany and many European countries.

It's just the way they produced the video and sequenced it - the very first Autobahn views show the time to be 1435hrs (see the cam view of the cluster), then quickly jumps back to 1426hrs for the rest of the video which catches up. Not sure why they chose to open with that sequence, but the Producers have that option. But it is a great video capturing the performance characteristics we can expect with our X3MC models, if we ever get the chance to run at those speeds.

It doesn't matter how fast or capable SUVs get I will never see the point in performance versions of these cars. Too tall and too ugly.

I don't care if he beat the R8, I'd still choose the R8 for a weekend blast.

And instead of an SUV give me a fast Touring any day of the week.

I don't get the point of this video, apart from letting the viewer know the X3M is fast. Which we already knew. Not sure why it warrants a 10 minute video. Does anyone actually sit through these?

And agree. Zero comma zero skill in this video. We're actually already very close to not needing human drivers anymore. We can just get in, get comfy in the back seat and say "go fast".
