Had mine replaced around 16K miles also...

I replaced my tires at about 35,000. I noticed traction loss and the tires were making noise. Replaced with non run flats (BF Goodrich Comp2).

Seems like they're wearing quickly, noticed my tread is much lower than I'd expect after 8,600 miles as well, mainly motorway, in 4 months. Not impressed.
