I have an 2005 X3. Usually, the D appears in the dash when driving. The most recent time I've driven it, it has S - and no, I haven't changed to gear to sports.

The car did have a problem - the gearbox cooler had a leak in it, so there was gearbox oil in the radiator (which made it blow up - completely, big bang with the expansion tank going BOOM!) And so, naturally, water got into the gearbox - so the cooler has been changed and the oil refilled.

The garage is now saying the computer isn't happy, saying there's something wrong.

What can I/garage do??
