Shock Absorbers

I would like to upgrade the shock absorbers on my 2008 BMW X3 3.0si. Is anyone here familiar with Bilstein Shocks? Is it compatible with this model?

I had bilstein b6 shocks and struts on my 325i, I liked them a lot.

I put KONI Special ACTIVE shocks and struts on my x3, Haven't really got to test them out yet, but not as good as the Bilsteins.

Waiting on some Bilstein B8 units for my 135i

I had Bilstein monotube shocks on my '07 X3 and they rode very firm, but very controlled.

I have Bilstein HD shocks & struts and Suplex HD springs installed for a month now and am very happy with the ride.

Need new Shocks and Struts

Are these cheaper options to replace? All of my Shocks and Struts are leaking and need to be replaced. I'm being quoted $1198.84 for Rear Suspension and $1761.94 for Front Suspension. Should I replace the coil regardless? Thank you.

It was. I just own 2 X3 generations and was getting them confused. Take a look at rockauto.com.

Lower priced but still name brands
Gabriel, Monroe, KYB

Mid priced, OE replacements
Sachs, Bilstein B4 line

Premium priced, performance
Bilstein B6 line

Of those, I'd probably go with the KYB, Sachs, or Bilstein B4. If you're really price sensitive, I'd go with the Monroe.

How diffenrent are the Bilstein B4 OEM and the B6 Heavy duty Performance? I drive a BMW X3 2006 and I have to replace my shocks and struts immediately, but I'm not sure where to buy them (which US website is more reliable) and which model, PLEASE QUICK HELP!

Hello,

My 2015 x3 needs new Shock Absorbers.
Does anyone know a link to some DIY instructions?
Which Shock Absorbers would you recommend?

Thanks
