I never liked the 20" choice for the X3 M40i, but still wanted an OEM look. Finally decided on 20" BBS SX (20x9). The center caps actually fit..not perfect.. but worked.

Did you get them from local shop? Or did you have to special order?

They were in stock at the TireRack McCarran, NV distribution center. Waited a week for the wheels/tires.. but the real waiting was for stickers I wanted to put on the BBS center caps. I was told that the OEM caps wouldn't fit. They stickers never showed up, so I thought what the heck, let's see if the BMW ones would fit. They did! Not perfect, but definitely workable.

I ended up forgoing trying to match the grey, but it looks like several wheel companies are offering "ddt", which is double dark tint,and it looks very close. After seeing it in person prior to buying my wheels I thought it definitely had the warm, bronze look that makes the Cerium Grey unique.

I got my summer wheels this week

BBS CH-R 20x9 et25 (square)
Pilot Sport 4S 245/45

I decided on these wheels because I wanted something with some depth and out of all the styles I was interested in these were the only ones that I could get at 9" wide with a lower offset, without adding weight. I also wanted a tighter fitment without messing with spacers and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

The color (titanium) is just slightly off of the cerium gray accents but I think it looks great on Carbon Black, and once I blackout the mirror caps it will be even harder to noticed. Did a little over a hundred miles on them so far and they feel great, lots of grip!

I think they work well on the X3 and ironically, they're a similar style to the new X5 wheels and makes them look a bit more factory like on the X3.

Got these a few weeks ago, thanks to JWRIGHT82 helped me out with the setup

Went with staggered rims

Tires 265/35/22. Offset 9
Tires 295/30/22. Offset 10.5
