Plastidip xDrive 30i

Hi fellows,

Thinking about making my AW x30i a little more sportier and rather than switching grill and wheels - I am thinking to Plastidip my Wheels + Grill + Silver Panel on Front Bumper - Later on might do roof wrap and side rails too

Photoshopped what I want it to look like

Stock vs Black vs Black(No Roof)

What do you think? Good idea bad?

Thanks!

Thanks!

I like black accents, but I think on this car, gloss black is required. I have only Plastidipped a few smaller pieces.. getting off a few years later wasn't entirely easy.

I test drove a SQ5 this weekend. It had The Black Optic package where they swap out all the chrome.

Even the wife, who harassed me with my black 2002 Ford Focus rims 16 yrs ago, said it looked great.

Now she wants a black SQ5 completely blacked.

Lots of people like it. Not sure Plastic dip is the way to do it though!

I recommend vinyl wrap in lieu of plastidip. Jist search “plastidip roof” on YouTube and you’ll see that it never provides a consistent finish.
