So I’ve attempted with two different Aliexpress stores/vendors to order Carbon seat back covers and they haven’t arrived.

Not sure if I’m just having bad luck or if this is typical?

It’s just buying things online. You can file a charge back if you used PayPal. You can even dispute the order because it never arrived you’ll get your money back. AliExpress don’t scam people. Sometimes order get lost or they forgot to ship it. You’ll get your money back. Worst case you dispute it to your bank and they’ll give your money back if it doesn’t arrive.

Hah I guess I should have made my question more clear. I’m wondering if this happens more often with Aliexpress?

I’ve bought plenty online and have never had a problem. Im not worried about getting my money back I know how that works. 👍

So far with aliexpress I’m 0/2.

Did it go wrong or what happened? My orders from Aliexpress usually take about a month. I've probably ordered hundreds of things (never the lowest bidder) and haven't had an issue besides stupid long shipping times or no communication of when it will show up. Don't buy the extremely cheap shit.

Both orders have passed their estimated delivery times. Both were estimated about a month which is fine, I’m patient! But once the estimated ship time passes I reach out to the seller for any info. One seller responded and refunded me immediately that the shipment must have been “lost”. The second has not responded. I haven’t looked for the really cheap stuff…the seat backs were about $130 for the first set and $145 the second. I used someone’s link on the forum who received a set from the first seller. No luck…might just forget these since I won’t see them anyways!

Believe it or not I’ve been shopping with AliExpress since 2018. Have at least 800 orders never had any crazy problems.

All my Ali Express orders take about 2 weeks to arrive. Haven't had any not arrive, and purchased the cf headrest overlays from vendor TY-made Store, $140 plus tax was $151 total.

TY made is the first vendor I ordered from. They were great from a communication perspective.

WCD pro car store was the second vendor and they don’t communicate at all even after I’ve sent a couple of messages.

Just poor luck!

They take 2-3 weeks sometimes...sometimes longer if it's by sea. Ask for a tracking #.

Try messaging the seller before the ship date eclipses, that's what I did for my CF center console piece, they responded and let me know it would be shipping. It took a little longer than I expected, but I wasn't too worried. Who knows, they may have been making it to order. It was a solid piece, so I'm glad I waited.

I've ordered 3 or 4 things and it has always taken 1+ month. I've never had it not show up but it does take a very long time.

Both orders went beyond the estimated delivery date. When I click on tracking in both instances it has said “sorry logistics delay” and has not left China.

After messaging a couple of times I was only able to get a response from the seller after submitting the refund request. They then responded with tracking which indicated the item was in the states. Finally, it arrived today. I dont mind waiting, I’m a patient person but seems like tracking can only be obtained by asking the seller.

But what do I know I’ve only ordered twice from Ali. lol

They usually provide tracking every single time. They’re very reliable. But I dont know what happened in your case. China is leveling up very hard it’s not the same 10 years okay. You order it comes. For me in Canada it takes 1 week to 1.5 week now with their new courier. Crazy.

A lot of these guys use trading companies to handle their business so if you're not in country its hard to get the info. They don't care about us in the US because were not much of their business for single orders, they care about containers and pallets.

The one order I placed from Aliexpress was the price I paid at time of order. No additional fees stateside. I’ve also ordered a few different things from eBay recently that shipped from china and also no additional fees.

I know you said you recvd yours, but dealing w vendors from China regularly in my day job, shipping by boat usually takes 6-8 weeks for delivery once it's loaded on the boat. On top of that there can be (and usually are) dock delays on both sides of the shipping, then it needs to be x-ferred to a ground carrier.

The smaller items usually get delivered a lot quicker than the larger (hood exhaust)

That being said I ordered 2 things from Ali Mirror caps which arrived in US in a bout 3 weeks and are currently clearing customs, and a hood which sat at the port for a week and a half before being loaded on a boat

caps cam w fedex tracking which wasn't active until it landed
hood came with a tracking I cant figure out how to read LOL :P
