Emissions Inspection- Anyone else?
My M40i just popped up a service notification:
Emissions Inspection Due in September 2022 “Have an emissions inspection carried out to comply with your legal requirements as a vehicle owner.” My M40i just had her 1 year birthday so I am thinking this is probably just regular scheduled service but I don’t remember this requirement on past X3’s. I am sure it’s normal but curious if others got this notification. What’s interesting is I could push out the service date in the iDrive. Sorta strange and sorta a pain in the butt because by the time I make the drive to service and run my car through I’ve lost half a day.

I live in California. I had the message show up in my 2021 X3, purchased in Jan 2021. The emissions inspection was not due. I just reset the timer to the actual due date. I don't remember how I did it, but it's not hard to figure out. Maybe one of the other forum members can provide more specific instructions.

Thanks for the response 335dFan. I’ll try resetting the emission notification and hopefully that’ll take care of it.
