I placed an order August 15 for a 2023 X3 M40i and was told they had an allocation for M40i build for week 43..I. BMW tracking still says order received and BMW genius says week 45 what would be the reason for the change? They also said it has changed about 10 times in the past week between week 43-46

Likely delays in components, awaiting an option to be available again. Happens frequently and seemingly more so with m40i from what I’ve seen on here.

It's more of a guessing game. It's probably some inventory on parts. Could be related to an option such as PAP or DAPP.

My MY23 was pushed from 36 to 39 and was finished week 38. Now that's it's build im glad I got everything I wanted. But the wait is hard.

I wonder if there's a way to find out what exactly is holding it back or changing its build week... yeah waiting sucks!

Nope! I suspected PAP was what caused the delay on mine since it wasn't really advertised and in limited supply. Who knows for sure though?
