Do need to keep the phone near the console (where it normally goes anyway, and where wireless changing pad would be) Could do with getting a wireless antenna added, but no idea where to start looking for that or getting retro-fitted.

Bimmercode coding on G01 - Share you coding changes
You are right. I think in Full screen Carplay thread https://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1583913 are some instructions. If not, on newtis you find them. Payn3y did retrofit the antenna.

"Enhanced Bluetooth (6NS): Add 6NS to your FA. VO Code HU_NBT. Then follow these steps after for your iPhone to pair properly (thank you @skalberti): Then you have to remove all bluetooth devices and re add them."
I have a 2019 X3 M40i, without Enhance Bluetooth and would like to be able to receive Android SMS text messages. Using BimmerCode, I did the various HU_NBT settings to active, but I don't understand the part about adding 6NS to your FA (what is that?) nor the part about VO Code HU_NBT. If this project if possible for me, would someone please walk be through this part, slowly? Thanks.

FA is list of every single feature/option your car has. It completely identifies the configuration of your vehicle. For example, my car came with a sheet in the trunk that lists things like 248, 258, 2NH etc. Each of those codes indicates that my car has the feature described by that code. 248 indicates heated steering wheel, 258 runflat tires, and 2NH M-sport brakes. There are about 60 other codes on my sheet. If you got a vehicle inquiry printout at the dealer when you bought your car, the printout very likely has a list of those codes for your car. VO coding is a process where you simply add a feature to the FA list that the car currently does not have and ask E-Sys to automatically code everything that needs to be coded so the newly added feature functions properly. E-Sys is "smart" enough to figure out what needs to be coded. As you are using BimmerCode and not E-Sys, I think that your only option is to (i) find all of the specific items that must be coded and (ii) code them one by one using BimmerCode's expert mode. But perhaps I should have asked this: after you coded all the items to active, are SMS messages showing on the display? If it all works fine, just ignore the part about VO coding 6NS. Here are the coding possibilities for the G01 in Carly -- http://support.mycarly.com/knowledge...t-is-possible/
How does it compare to Bimmercode? Carly is an annual subscription, unless you have been with them long enough (yeah!) to be grandfathered in as a lifetime purchaser with no annual fee. Is ASS codeable on a 2019 in Bimmercode? This is all that's available in Carly: Start/Stop notification in dashboard • on • off When the engine start/stop function is available the start/stop symbol in the dashboard appears. This function has only an effect if the dashboard is equipped with a start/stop symbol. (codable in KOMBI) Start in Eco / Eco Pro mode • on • off When turning on the car, the ‘Eco / Eco Pro’ driving mode is automatically activated. Unfortunately, there is no possibility to automatically start the car in ‘Sport’ or ‘Sport+’ mode. (codable in ICM)

audio input equalization
It seems like the various audio inputs are at different levels which is a bit of a pain when changing sources. Is there any way to individually adjust these levels through coding?

I don't believe this is possible. I have reviewed all of the 1,340 head unit coding options (in E-Sys) and did not come across an option that would allow input-specific volume or input-specific loudness compensation. The head unit simply has a single master volume that is applied to all inputs.

Do you mean the logo displayed in the instrument cluster?
