I have it saved as favorite #7. Go to Technology in action. Use the joystick to make Sport displays active. Press a favorite button for a few seconds. Do not actually go to the sport displays. If you see them on the screen, you have gone too far and they won't store in the favorite. You always want to store the item that activates the function you ultimately want a shortcut to.

It's safe for you to make the assumption that whatever works for G01 would probably work the same for G02, except the shape of the car plus a very few exceptions. As far as I know, these two cars are basically twins and share the majority of components.

Completely new to Bimmercode stuff...this doesn't ruin my warranty or anything does it? I won't be doing anything expert, just some basic stuff.

I asked this same question and was told that if the dealer changes the version of sofware/firmware then the backups from earlier versions should NOT be used. Being in the technology business this makes sense to me. So my advise would be to note your versions and if they don't change you'd be gtg to restore as the dealer just reset to default. If they do change you'll need to recode yourself or pay someone again.

Alarm Chirp while lock / unlock
You can program whether you want alarm setting to chirp independently during lock and unlock.
In expert mode under roof function/alarm system, search for Entschaerfen. It will be Akkustische Quittierung Entschaerfen (Acoustic acknowledgement unlocking). Aktiv = Chirp. Nicht Aktiv = silent For chirp during locking, search for "Schaerfen". Akkustische Quittierung Schaerfen (Acoustic acknowledgement locking). I set the chirp not active on unlocking, and left the locking as is (on during locking). This worked fine. Note that in the idrive under doors/key, the check box for acoustic signal for lock/unlock will be remain unchecked, even though it chirps on lock the way I have it set. |
