Those would be welcome changes, especially the M Sport seats as an upgrade. It’s interesting what that is going to do to M sales though. I suspect the m40i is sufficient power for most but extra goodies like seats and full merino might have tempted people to upgrade. But not if all is available in the m40i

Any updates on M Sport VINs finally getting M Sport steering wheels in Canada? It's a travesty to be driving a M Sport variant with a thin-rim steering wheel.

This is good news and should've been this way from the start. I always would choose the better more comfortable quality M Sport Seat option! As well as nicer Wheel setup.
As the new 2019 BMW X4 M40i definitely has ample power compared to the previous generation model. Everything sounds great besides for the "piano black trim", what's up with that stuff? |

Looking forward to seeing some photos of what these updates will look like. It sounds like the new M Sport Seats will be a nice upgrade.
It sure seems like the M40i is the most bang for the buck throughout the entire X3 lineup.

Yes, I totally agree! Would always choose the awesome M Steering Wheel any day! That should always be an option for every BMW vehicle, to me it's not a true BMW without it.
That is what connects you to the car. The steering wheel, the seats and the shift lever, three points of contact adds tremendously to the overall driving and ownership experience! |

No Mention of updated engine (Z4, 3 series engine) or digital dash update?
thats what the X3/X4 really need. So does this mean the X3 will get the individual seat options the X4 already has (like the two tone red/black merino leather)? will also be interesting to see if the M Sport seats are in fact the same seats as the upgraded X3M seats. If so there is even less to distinguish the two cars. I do firmly believe SEATS in a M should be exclusive to the M, makes the interior feel that much more exclusive (and justify the huge price jump a bit more). |

Seems to be a bit bland of an update? If this is presumably the 2020 "LCI" I believe many were expecting the power bump and other options alike to what the new M340i has?
