New for me X3 30i
Good Evening Forumites!
Just bought a 2010 X3 30i. 102,000km. Serviced at the Dealer regularly. Planning to get the car checked out before putting her on the road. I was thinking of getting the Timing Chain inspected (not sure if that's basically the same cost as a replacement, but thought I'd at least ask). Are there any big things that I should get checked right away? I will be getting the service records shortly, so will be able to see what's been done in the past. Thank you! |

All I'd do is use a code reader to find any trouble codes that have been set and deal with them. Then assuming they haven't been done recently:
1. Check the oil filter housing gasket (OFHG) and valve cover gasket for leaks 2. Oil and filter change 3. Brake fluid flush 4. Coolant flush and replacement with BMW coolant 5. Differential oil change 6. Transfer case oil change and reset adaptations (optional) 7. Transmission filter and oil change, not flush (optional)
