Long story short,

Our secondary suv is at about 277,000KM running on original struts,

I've changed the rear springs at about 233,000KM

I want to change all 4 struts to last the remainder of the cars life.


Does anyone have a recommendation of the best struts to order online for the 2004 bmw X3?

Just grab some OEM Sachs shocks and struts and you'll likely be fine. Those are the originals, but without the BMW markup (Sachs makes the originals). You could also go with Bilstein B4, very close to OEM feel, but also more expensive so probably no point.

Happy to see this post. I am searching for loaded front strut assemblies for our 2007 X3 E83. Not easy to find lately, supply chain seems to be slow or paused.
