Replaced front discs & pads at 28.5 K miles
2011 X3 35i. 90/10 city/hwy miles.
Warranty work, no charge. Seems like short life for discs. Normal? |

I have an '11 35i, 38K miles, CBS says that I'll be out of warranty before the fronts hit, and that the rears will hit in 7K miles, which seems to be about typical.
Your experience is unusual. |

I have a 13 28i with 26k Miles, The Dealer manually checked my discs and says it has 9mm left.

Dealer process under warranty/maintenance plan is to always replace discs and pads together.
Our X3 we bought at 33.5k miles just had the discs and pads replaced a few thousand miles before we got it. With the amount of brake dust thats on the wheels I am not surprised they wear so quickly. Cant wait until the new set burns out so I can put some good ceramics on it. |
