Drivers Door Sometimes Won't Open

Kinda weird thing has happened a couple of times and I cannot figure out if it is me or the car. We have our 2024 X4 set up to unlock as we approach, which it does..doors unlock and mirrors swing out. A couple of times when we walk up the mirrors swing out and the doors unlock but I cannot open the drivers door. Pulling the outside handle doesn't work and neither does the inside handle. I tried going through the passenger side and opening the drivers door from the inside and it wouldn't work. After hitting the unlock button a couple of times and messing with the handle the door finally opened.

Any idea what's going on?

If this consistently happens then I would definitely have dealer check it out and fix it under warranty.

I wonder if there are secondary deadlocks that aren't functioning / actuating? If that is the case, and it's a new car, it's likely a software problem. Any which way I'd get back to the dealer ASAP l, apart from being a pain, it's a massive safety risk.

Thanks. It very well could be software. It almost feels like there is no mechanical connection between the handle and the lock. I wonder if the handle is just an electrical switch now.

If it's the driver's door...you should have a manual door lock cylinder on the exterior for manual lock/unlock if you have no electrical power. Isn't there still a metal keyblade integrated into your keyfob?

If this is still the case, then the door handle is not just a switch...there would still be mechanical components and activation/deactivation of the lock cylinder.

I didn't try the key so I don't know if that would have worked or not.
