Apple Watch and connected drive

I have a series 5 Apple Watch with the connected drive app loaded on both it and my iPhone. I can access the app on my phone, but on my watch, all I get is the attached message. I've tried signing out on my phone and back in, but it doesn't help. Anybody have any suggestions?

I got mine to work (Series 4 watch), but it was trial and error. I had the app open on the watch and opened the app on my phone a few times and it finally synced.

Good luck!

That's all I've ever received as well and assumed that was the extent of the apple watch functionality.

It appears to have the ability to lock/unlock the car, start the ventilation, and give you walking directions to where your car is parked, but I haven't tried it yet.

Sadly, it can't be set as a complication (at least on the face I am using), so by the time I get to the app on my watch, it would have been easier to get my phone out.

Also got it working on Apple Watch 4.
But it sucks..

Al lot of functions, but sending the command to the car takes ages, if it's even sent at all..

Thanks! I've tried repeatedly and it's not that I think it would be terribly useful, but it's just frustrating why these things don't "just work"!

Try closing the app on your watch:

Definitely happened to me as well. Close the app on the watch and the app. Maybe restart the watch too. They need to resync to each other. The next time I tried (the next day) my watch app was working properly.

I tried closing both and the peculiar thing is the only app I can't close by swiping left on it is the connected app. I had several other open apps that brought up the red x when I swipe left but not a chance of getting the connected app to close this way, so I deleted and reinstalled and get the same thing. So frustrating!

Just installed on watch (series 3) to see if works and remind myself why I removed it.

As per OP, asks to open app on phone, which I did and then it works, but as others have said only gives fuel range, ventilation, lock/unlock, recent destinations and walking directions.

So...pointless as why wouldn't you just use phone.

OP, try removing from phone, and watch, restarting both, reinstall on phone and login. Then install on watch.

Have had many issues with other apps not working properly on watch, most annoying was Nest, and doing the above fixed

Finally got it working after may attempts. Restarting the phone seemed to do the trick. Thanks all!

Btw, as suspected, it's pretty useless!

I’ve tried all solutions here and it won’t work . Same login error message.

I understand advice to ignore because of ltd value but I also wish things just worked.
