New X3 Owner - Included Accessories Question
Hi All,
Brand new 2020 X3 owner here. My first BMW and loving it so far. I have a few questions about some accessories I think I might be missing that might be normally included for U.S. owners. Do U.S. X3s come with a first aid kid and warning triangle? Mine are both missing from the hidden compartment in the trunk. Is the front license plate bracket included? Is the BMW flush cigarette lighter to USB plug included? Thanks! |

Is the front license plate bracket included? YES, EVEN IF YOU DON'T HAVE A FRONT PLATE INSTALLED. Is the BMW flush cigarette lighter to USB plug included? NO.

On my 2019 model I received the BMW cigarette lighter USB plug and the front license plate bracket. The dealer did not install the license plate bracket, so they left it in the trunk at pick-up.
No to first aid kit and triangle.

Also, has anyone bought the 12V-port LED flashlight? Bought it on a whim for $20, online. It's actually really neat! Would recommend. |

first aid kid and warning triangle aren't provided in North America.
Front licence plate bracket is something the dealer should provide it it's needed in your area. |

I picked my car up at the factory in Spartanburg, so it's probably a good representation of what BMW does versus what a dealer does. No first aid kit or warning triangle (from my EDs, I think those are Europe things). Front license plate bracket was not installed (my state doesn't require it), but it was in the trunk. And no 12v USB adapter (I think this is a dealer "gift").

MB and BMW differ on the first aid kits. Both companies have the same practice for safety triangles - no triangle in the US market.
MB provides first aid kits in the US market, at least for the models that have been in the market for some time. The new and lower price models such as A, CLA, GLA and GLB may not have the first aid kit, I haven't checked lately at the dealer. |
