I have been fairly easy on my X3MC and am averaging 18.6mpg over the first 1035 miles. Mostly freeway driving to work.

Did 1000 miles on Friday. All Interstate with cruise set @ 90, averaged 18.1 to 18.4.
Took it in for the break-in service Saturday. There was an open action for programming the DME, but it takes anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours depending on what other control units need new software. I didnt have it done because it was late in the day. The stop-sale is only for cars that havent had the update, deliveries cant take place until the update has been done. |

Completed a 450 mile drive yesterday. Had adaptive cruise control set on 81 for 95% of the drive. Was in efficient/comfort/comfort/d1 except when to pass, switched to sport plus and had a couple acceleration bursts on the open road. Per trip computer got 20.4mpg. Cold tire pressure 37/41. This was also with 3 adults in the car, two infants, and a fully loaded trunk with suitcases.

I'm getting 14 mpg on my road trip with 4k miles, stainless cat, and flash tune. I'm rolling with 500 bottles of wine inside the car and towing a 3, 000 LB trailer. Average speed is 85 mph. I'm very satisfied with the highway gas mileage given this load.

Maryland, my friend, and I just arrived tonight. Unloaded my cargo, and there's always a bottle with a home cooked meal for any forum member in the area.....

In town driving was about 13.4, and went to 15 after 2000 miles. It seems to get better (not saying 15 is good lol) after time, but I usually drive in sport as soon as the engine warms up.

I've been averaging 16.3 mpg in the city. My M2 was like economy car fuel efficient compared to this thing. Of course I knew going in that fuel efficiency wasn't a strength of this vehicle so not complaining although it would be nice to get closer to 20 mpg.

Yes, that would be THE segment leader. The F97 is A segment leader as stated. I probably could have fit those last four cases of wine in the vehicle if I would have had those extra 5 cubic feet. Makes me almost regret my purchase... Nah, that's what the trailer is for! Well, that and the Costco gazeebo for the yard and a ton of other crap......
